 Creating a Selection Using the Pen Tool

7  Click mouse on Point H and drag it all the way to Point I.

 

While holding down the CTRL key, click your mouse on the X mark as show below.  This will create a node on that spot.  Then, drag that node slightly to upper right to cover all the brown area.

 

8  Click on Node H once to make it your End node.  Then, change its node type to Cusp.  Drag arrow handle from Point I to Point J.

 

 

9  By now, you should probably have an idea how the "Point and Drag" works on Point-to-Point Bezier Curve.  Create the additional nodes as shown below and simply do the Point and Drag method to create smooth lines along the edge of the apple. When you reached the "End Node", simply drag that node onto the start node until you notice your cursor change to "JOIN".
