Metallic Bar

4 While the bar selection is active, apply a Gaussian Blur Filter (Image>Blur>Gaussian Blur) Radius = 3

You can load the bar selection from the Alpha channel in case you accidentally deselect it.

 

 

5 Add another layer (Layers>New Raster Layer)

Again, pick the Drawing Tool and while holding down the [Shift] key, draw a white line inside the bar close to the lower edge of the bar (see figure below)

Drawing Tool Settings:
Type = Single Line
Width = 5
Antialias = checked
Create as Vector = NOT checked
Close Path = NOT checked

Under Draw Option Tab , choose the Round cap

 

 

6 While bar selection is active, apply again a Gaussian Blur Filter (Image>Blur>Gaussian Blur) Radius = 3

Save your image in PSP format for future use.

Merge all layers (Layers>Merge>Merge All), contract selection by 2 (Selections>Modify>Contract) and place a copy of the current selection into the clipboard by pressing [CTRL+C]

Open a textured image and press [CTRL+E] to paste the clipboard content.

To add inset line, draw a white and black line as shown.  Width = 1   antialias = not checked

Tip: Use zoom tool to make it a lot easy in drawing lines

Same technique can be applied to circular image as shown, use the Preset shape tool instead of the Drawing tool in making lines.
